REAL MEAL MINISTRY 

A food ministry for the body and the soul!

“I am the bread of life.  He who comes to me will never go hungry and he who believes in me will never go thirsty.”  John 6:35

This is a ministry to those families attending Res Life Rockford providing added help and convenience to those who are celebrating a birth, recovering from a short-term illness or mourning the loss of a loved one. 

Effective help is always practical help, and this ministry provides meals for 1 – 3 days in the time that they need it most.  During the demanding schedules of times like these, what a welcomed act of kindness to have meals prepared and delivered to your home. 

This ministry is such a practical way to show the love of God to those in need and it requires no special training or skills.  You are just doing for others what you are already doing for your own family. 

If you are interested, we would love to have you join in this ministry of blessing to others. You would be placed on a list of volunteers, by geographical location, and would be called by a regional leader when meals around your area are needed.  You would then be given the dates when meals are needed and asked to prepare and deliver that meal. (Don’t exclude yourself if you are unable to make delivery to a person’s home – special arrangements can be made to have them delivered from the church if necessary.)
