First Impressions team members have a genuine heart for people and serving and doing whatever it takes to make our guests feel welcome. Welcome Ministry
These team members have a genuine heart for people; to welcome and greet, guide and direct, give information and make people feel valued and connected to the church body.
- Parking - Our parking lot is the first impression that visitors have of our church. People that greet them with a smile and direct them to an open space are more important than you could imagine.
- Hosts - As hosts, we connect with new guests and families, making them feel welcome and comfortable. We personally guide guests wherever they need to go - the Welcome Center, children's areas, or even the bathrooms!
- Friendly Wheels - We provide caring assistance to those who are handicapped or have special needs.
- Greeters - As greeters, we create an environment where each guest and family member feels valued, cared for and warmly welcomed.
- Ushers - We make genuine connections with guests, assist them in finding a seat and provide a friendly and safe atmosphere for worship and hearing the word of God.
- Welcome Center - We welcome new guests and families with a gift and guide them in becoming familiar with Resurrection Life Church Rockford. The Welcome Center also answers questions and provides information on upcoming events and ministries.
- Prayer Team - This team intercedes on behalf of the First Impressions ministries. We gather on Sunday mornings before the first service.
Hospitality Ministry
These team members have a genuine heart for serving in hospitality food service; from setting up exciting serving presentations to cooking and baking; making people feel cared for.
- Cafe - Serving up tasty refreshments before and after services while getting to know others in the church family.
- Welcome Lunch - This free lunch welcomes visitors and those seeking to learn more about Resurrection Life Church, Rockford. During this time you will meet guests, give a brief overview of our ministries, and answer any questions they may have.
- Cookie Bakers - We supply our Café with fresh baked cookies that are served every Sunday.
- Food Service - This ministry prepares, presents and serves food for various meetings in the First Impressions ministry and the church.

- Funeral Luncheons
- Rise & Shine - We provide our volunteers with a wonderful breakfast each week.
- Special Guest Refreshments - Providing our special guest speakers with refreshments while making them feel comfortable and welcomed.
Service Ministry
These team members share a genuine heart for covering all the bases for each of the ministries behind the scenes to make the experience all come together.
- Special Projects - We are part of an on-call team, that helps with a variety of projects within the church.
- Facilities Care - This team provides care in servicing our facilities with excellence.
- Housekeeping - This ministry maintains the church by:

- Laundry – weekly
- Décor – seasonal
- Restocking and organizing
Office Assistants Ministry
These team members have a genuine heart to make the Sunday experience all come together. We are part of a team that serves throughout the week with a variety of office projects and functions.

Baptism/Communion Ministry
These team members have a heart for the preparation and presentation of our Sacraments.
- Baptism - We prepare the baptismal, assisting those being baptized and make them feel comfortable.
- Communion - We prepare and present the communion for the congregation.
