Borrow and Bless

 

What is it?

Wouldn't it be nice if we could all just share?  Would you be willing to let an item be borrowed if you knew someone needed it?  Maybe you're looking for a special book or an unusual drill bit?  What about that Snoopy cake pan that's been sitting in the back of your cabinet for years?  If you knew someone was looking for a Snoopy cake pan, would you be willing to loan yours?  Sure you would!  The problem is you just didn't know someone needed it.  Well, save your money!  Let's Borrow And Bless each other!   Here's how it works.....

Borrow and Bless is designed as a means of loaning items for short term usage to those in the RLC church family.   Needs and availability will be communicated via an email list.  All you need to do is join the email list and then when you or anyone on that list has a request they send an email with the item in the subject line and it goes out to everyone on the list.  The person who has the item can then respond directly to the person in need and make arrangements to connect.

How do I get started?

  1. First you need to join the “list” by emailing to   This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it   No subject or body needed to the email.
  2. You will then get a bounce back confirmation message which you then have to reply to.  Go ahead and reply to that and then you'll be joined to the list.
  3. You will then get an email confirmation which contains instructions on commands you can send to the list.  (Save this for your records.)

How do I Borrow?

Once you are a member of the list, you can request to borrow items from all the members of the list.  To do so, you will have to send an email to the list at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it and all you have to do is place the item you’re requesting in the Subject line.  Do not put anything in the body.  If a member of the list has the item and wants to lend it they will reply to you directly and you can make arrangements to connect.

Guidelines:

Becoming a participant in the “Borrow and Bless” ministry of RLC is a privilege.   By doing so you agree to treat all materials borrowed with respect and return them in their original condition or better than when you received them.  Participants are responsible for making all arrangements regarding the usage of items, pick-up, delivery, and duration of usage.  Resurrection Life Church is not responsible for the loss or damage of any property transferred through this ministry.
